9/20/2008 - Texas Hold em Tournament

Thanks to everyone who participated. A great time was had by all.

The turn out for the Texas Hold em was fantastic. We had 57 players, great pizza, many laughs, and a few stories that we cannot put in writing. we will tell you about em next time we are together. First place winner was Jason Krimm, AKA "Josh" a friend of Kevin's. Second place winner was Pat Vesnaugh, a friend of Chris IV's, who donated his winnings back to Care for Kevin, thank you Pat. Third place winner, Brad Radigan, AKA "Deuces", another friend of Kevin's. Mark Wood, AKA "MAN DOWN", a neighbor of Chris IV's, won fourth place. Kelly Nahtygal, AKA "a chip & a chair", Kevin's sister won fifth place. Steve Byberg won sixth place. Brendan White won the 50/50 raffle. We also had four sets of four Tiger tickets as door prizes. The drawing winners were, Janet and Jeff Balasz, Tony and Christy Cheslick, and Chuck Marz. Jason Krimm got the final set of tickets as tournament champion.

We have to give Rex & Mary Wood a HUGE thank you for their incredible hospitality. A double thank you to Mary for those pudding cups, which inspired comments like "best pudding I ever had", "nothing like I remember as a kid", and some unintelligible comments after one too many pudding cups.

We have another HUGE thank you for Kelton Kaye for running the tournament for us. We could not have had the success, or fun without you Kelton. Thanks again.

There appears to be a ground swell of enthusiasm for another tournament, and no, we are not doing it again this weekend as some participants were urging.

However, we will discuss it with Rex, Mary, and Kelton to see if they can put up with us again, sometime in the Spring.
