This site is dedicated to fighting Adult Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Thank you Kevin for being my honored hero!!!!
We are all trying to find a cure for these awful blood cancers!
Today, 10/18/09, was the Free Press Marathon, The 1/2 marathon went very well.
I finished 13.1 miles in 3 hrs and 5 min - I actually ran most of the marathon, with a 14 min mile average.
I was pleased with my time, it was my first 1/2 and first run/walk, so now I have a time to better in the future.
Team in Training MI raised $270,000 total. My Stony Creek team raised $133,000 of that total.
Stony Creek rocked!!!!
There were about 150 Team in Training participants from Ann Arbor, Kensington, Stony Creek, and Royal Oak.
Kevin's bio was in the program along with many others. I have several books I took for your family; I will somehow get them to Kelly & Marty.
I had the picture of Kevin and Carrie on the back of my shirt, with Honored Hero and his name.
Many participants commented that the picture kept them going. Also, the Team in Training staff made picture
poster boards and his picture was on that too. The boards were posted at the Inspiration dinner,
along with a slide show and your picture and name, the Victory dinner and more importantly out on
the racecourse for all 19,000 to see.
I will keep checking your website for updates. The Christesen family has a great support network,
you guys are awesome.......it was a pleasure meeting all of you at the bowling fundraiser.
I will keep praying for your health, and your family’s strength.
Give that little girl a hug for me.
Again thanks.
GO TEAM!!!!!!

Please continue to keep
Kevin and his family in your prayers
Our lives were completely changed on July 29, 2008.
On July 28, 2008 Kevin went to the doctor due to a pain in his leg. After doing blood work it was obvious to the doctors that he had a much bigger problem. Kevin was diagnosed with Adult Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on July 29, 2008. Kevin is only 28 years old.
Kevin is married to his high school sweetheart Beth and daddy to a beautiful little girl; Carrie Elizabeth, who is three years old. Kevin and Beth were both born and raised in Canton Michigan. They had just purchased their first home in Canton three months before Kevin was diagnosed.
Kevin's condition is very serious, but hopeful. The doctors were very honest with him, they said "It is going to be hell", "You are going to have to fight"! It is the goal of all of us who care & love Kevin to ensure that he receives the best possible treatment regardless of cost, as well as support for Kevin, his wife and daughter. Please consider these options in helping Kevin, Beth, and Carrie.
